Black Freedom Day Celebrations Honor Ancestors, Support Black Businesses

December 6th is recognized as Black Freedom and Economic Day, commemorating the ratification of the 13th Amendment which abolished slavery in the United States. The day serves to honor ancestors and promote Black-owned businesses.
